Hatchery Chick Side Production $18.03 (1st shift)

Summary:
The Chick Room works with the chicks after they have hatched and are ready to be sent to the broiler farms.
Push/pull trolleys from hatchers and into chick storage.
Be able to pick out cull chicks from baskets and place chicks back into baskets.
Workstations and walkways can slippery.
Excellent stability and balance are required.
Frequent physical activities such as walking and standing for prolonged hours at a time are required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following:
Other duties may be assigned.
Moderate light lifting, 10 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 20 poundsPushing/Pulling trolleys.
Reaching above shoulders.
Use of fingers--dexterity and normal sensation required.
Both hands required.
A lot of walkingArea is dusty due to chick fluff.
Both legs required (prosthesis acceptable if full range of mobility is allowed).
EDUCATION AND/OR
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Bilingual preferred, but not required.
FOOD SAFETY:
Take a proactive role in assuring safe, quality products are produced by immediately addressing any safety or quality concerns.
